Los Angeles punk/post-punk/triple-synth band Halloween Swim Team released The End Of The Sky at 12:01am, January 1 — their first full-length album and the first album released on the West Coast in 2009.

The End Of The Sky finds Halloween Swim Team somewhere between vintage synth-punk bands like the Screamers and Silver Apples and newer acts like At The Drive In, TV On The Radio and the Blood Brothers.

BuzzBands’ Kevin Bronson, who describes the band as “bratty DIY electro,” says that while drum machines may have no soul, “in the twitchy hands of Dustin Krapes, Jon Navarro and Scott Carrillo, they have a sense of wonder.”
